If you want to use this service to purchase airtime for yourself, family, or friends and acquaintances, all you have to do is simply power on your phone if it was off and then dial the number *444# to get started.
However, here is a listing of all exciting things that you can do using the Airtel *444# shortcode, and these are;
- Recharging your line, and you can also use it to recharge your Friends and Family lines.
- Buy data bundles for self OR friends and family.
How to Use Airtel *444# Code
As I said earlier before now, if you want to use this shortcode, first and foremost, dial the *444# on your device. or you can dial *444*AMOUNT#.
After you are done with that step, 4 options will be displayed on your device screen for you to choose from. The options will be;
- 1. Buy Airtime
- 2. Buy Data
- 3. Postpaid
- 0. Main Menu
So, pick the service/product option that you want.
You will be asked to input the amount of the product you want to buy. Reply with the amount of airtime that you want to buy or data.
In this step, you will be asked if you want to buy for yourself or a third party (Others). Reply to the message with 1 if you want to buy for yourself or 2 if you want to buy for another number.
Note: If you pick 2, which is to buy for others, you’ll be asked to provide the airtel number of the person that you want to buy the airtime for.
After you are done with STEP 4, you’ll be requested to choose either Bank or use a Debit card as your payment option. So, choose the one that you want to use. If you choose a Debit card as your payment option, kindly know that you’ll have to provide them with the required card details.
